Abigail Bloom and Laura Huie are an LA-based writer/director duo who’ve been inseparable since they were cast as conjoined twins in a hilariously awful high school play. Over a decade later, their bond as best friends fuels their high-concept, female-led projects brimming with irreverent humor and rooted in female friendship—the kind of stories teenaged Abigail and Laura would’ve been obsessed with.

Since their epic 30-hour trek from Indiana to California with two cats, a U-Haul, and questionable playlists, Abigail and Laura have been on a roll. Their short film script AUNTIE TIGRESS won the 2024 WeScreenplay Short Film Lab and went on to place as finalists at HollyShorts, Screencraft, and Outstanding Screenplays. Their dramedy-action pilot YOU WORRY ME has twice earned Screencraft accolades, while their fantasy feature VIRAGO landed on Coverfly’s Red List. SOMETHING WICKED, a comedy mockumentary web series written and directed by the duo, is set to premiere in February 2026.

Beyond their own projects, Abigail and Laura are the VPs of Community & Marketing for Off The Page, an inclusive and encouraging community for female-identifying and non-binary screenwriters.
